Community News-Puppy Love at JFR

It’s a special month for our friends at Colorado Puppy Rescue (CPR) — they’re celebrating a BIG birthday!
For the past 20 years, this incredible volunteer-run organization has rescued and rehomed over 25,000 dogs across Colorado. Their work has brought endless love and wagging tails to families all over the state — and one of their dedicated volunteers happens to be part of our JFR family!

Our very own Tom Yoakam not only volunteers with CPR but also fosters puppies who are waiting for their forever homes. Tom often brings these adorable pups by JFR to help them socialize and get used to people and new environments — and trust us, they bring joy to everyone they meet!

But now, Colorado Puppy Rescue needs our help to keep their lifesaving work going. Their transport van — essential for safely bringing puppies to and from shelters and foster homes — is no longer usable. CPR needs to raise $20,000 to purchase and outfit a new (to them) van that meets all safety requirements.

Waymo is coming to Denver

Waymo, self-driving vehicles, are now on Denver roads. Waymo specializes in fully self-driving, all-electric “robotaxis” designed to give safe, driverless rides using a combination of advanced sensors, cameras, and AI technology. The company already operates public rides services in cities like Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Testing has already started on local roads. Fully autonomous rides are expected in Colorado in 2026. These electric robotaxis could soon change how we get around, including trips to Denver International Airport.
